Caramel German Brownies

Ingredients

1 box German Chocolate Cake Mix
1 can Evaporated Milk
12 oz. Caramels
6 oz. Chocolate Chips
3/4 cup Butter (softened)
1 cup Chopped Nuts

Mix cake mix, 2/3 can evaporated milk, butter and nuts. Spread half of the mixture into a greased and floured 13 x 9 pan and bake at 350 degrees for approximately 7 minutes. While cake is baking, melt the caramels and remaining 1/3 can milk being sure to stir constantly. When caramels and milk and melted and mixed remove from eat and set aside. Remove cake from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over the cake. Now pour the caramel mixture over the top of the chips. Spread the remaining thick batter over the top and bake cake for 15 to 20 minutes in a 350 degree oven. Refrigerate for 8 hour, then cut into small squares.
