Oven Baked Caramel Corn


1 cup White Sugar
1 cup Brown Sugar
1 & 1/2 sticks Butter
1/2 up Karo Light Corn Syrup
1 tsp. Salt
1 tsp. Baking Soda
1 tsp Butter Flavoring or Vanilla (hey, you can experiment!)
6 quarts Popped Popcorn

Boil sugar, butter, syrup and salt for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add soda and butter flavoring. Pour over popcorn, stirring to coat evenly. Spread on cookie sheet pan and bake at 300 degrees for one hour. I always check and stir the popcorn every 14-20 minutes. Remove from oven and cool, then store in a tightly covered tin or plastic container.
